In amongst all the upheaval a secluded spot has been found for the membership database and its guardians but its location remains a closely guarded secret.

The workshop today

1. The platform areas on Blackpool 40 have been painted.

2. London Transport 1622 looking immaculate after all the hard work at the weekend.

3. London United 159, Cardiff 131, Leeds 180, Blackpool 40 and MET 331.

The Library

1. The final containers of Winstan's book collection were unpacked today.

2. Just some of the books that were transported to Crich over the weekend.

3 & 4. The shelving contractors have now started work in the Reading Room (Glynn's desk used to be in this corner).

Winstan's Book Collection Arrives

The late Winstan Bond's extensive book collection is being moved to the Museum this weekend.

1. The inevitable white van will make several trips between Little Eaton and Crich.

2. 'Teacrates' have been hired. These are numbered and used in sequence.

3. The contents of container number 1.
4. Glynn Wilton places the first of Winstan's books on the new shelving.

The Workshop

There will be another Working Weekend in the workshop this coming weekend - 24th and 25th January.

1. The lining out and lettering on Cardiff 131 is now complete prior to varnishing. (more pictures tomorrow)

2. A pattern for the upper deck seats on London United 159.
3. MET 331 was re-united with its bogies last weekend and the brake rigging etc is now being connected.

4. Leeds 399 is being commissioned.

1. A start has been made on concreting to rail head level.

2. The rail bonds can clearly be seen on the north end points.
