We had a short break in Treviso taking in the Mestre and Padova rubber tyred systems. I had hoped the Mestre system had moved on since our last visit some four years ago and whilst the "slot" has been installed through to Venice nothing else has happened! Padova was extremely well used and very fast running between stops but it's not a real tram is it?

CRICH ON 11 APRIL 2014 - Frank Bagshaw
A new feature this year is for some trams to be towed out of the depots for display purposes. Today Blackpool 40 and 166 were on display |
Seen “peering out of the depot” were two streamliners: Blackpool 711 and Sheffield 510. |
The museum hosted a visit by the Morgan car club, seen here: some of them being passed by Blackpool 236. |

Photos taken of Sheffield 510 today when it was out and about with some filming going on.
Trams were picking up passengers from outside the library building as the roof of the Town End tram shelter was being reglazed.
812 waiting to load at the library with Erik in the back ground and Scott's transporter can also be seen having unloaded Blackpool 711 |

ARNHEM OPENAIR MUSEUM ON SUNDAY 6 APRIL 2014
I visited the museum with Wim Beukenkamp on the Sunday morning and was surprised how it has developed in the many years since I have been there. The addition of a part-terrace of old Amsterdam houses near the entrance (also new) is a very good exhibit showing the slums and one of the old 'brown bars' with the smoke stained decor etc also a new working micro brewery has been added with the beer being sold in the cafes.

I was invited to go and visit the depot/workshop of the tram museum by Wim Beukenkamp and enjoyed a couple of hours there looking around and drinking coffee!

AMSTERDAM 3-8 APRIL 2014
I have just returned from a very pleasant visit to Amsterdam and really enjoyed my time there, it is such a great city to get around with ease. Although I took one day out to visit Keukenhof for the flowers, the rest of the time was spent either on or looking at the trams - it's still in the blood!!
