I have to admit that I did not know of the existence of the Statfold Barn Railway near Tamsworth, but what an impressive place it is. We primarily went to view Burton and Ashby 14 now it has returned home, but the display of steam engines especially is very impressive, especially the roundhouse, see pics.

The Statfold Barn Railway opens 3 times a year for visitors and the details are on the above website.
Today a preview was held and we were lucky enough to be invited to attend. On speaking to Henry Noon of the Statfold Barn Railway he told us it is their intention to get 14 back into running condition and regauge the tram so they can run it with some kind of power generator, as they will not be erecting poles and hopefully have it running on special days in a year or two.
