LAUNCESTON, TASMANIA MAY 2024 - Ray Mudway

Ray sent me the two photos shown.  He reports nothing much happening as everyone getting older. Same old story as a certain Tramway Museum in Derbyshire.

The gang-car is to do the safety-run & put out the signs each day so
that tram #29 has less to do - it really needs a full rebuild after 20
yrs running.

FUNICULAR DA GRACA LISBON MAY 2024

A new funicular has opened is Lisbon from Graca near the Mirador for 200 metres steep down to the streets below.

Rather startling change from the other funiculars!

These very modern looking ars carry approx 20 passengers

As can be seen from this view it is a very settp short run.  When we went to find it at the bottom station, it was cut off due to road works and about 1km to walk around!
