Royal visits

The announcement in Contact that HRH The Duke of Gloucester will be visiting Crich on Wednesday reminded me of earlier Royal visits and I found my old copies of The Journal.
1. The first Royal visit was by HRH Prince William of Gloucester on Monday 14th August 1972.

Posted by Picasa2. The second was by HRH Prince Richard, Duke of Gloucester on Wednesday 9th June 1976.

The October 1972 issue was the first one that I produced and perhaps I cropped the cover picture rather too enthusiastically.
