Best wishes for Christmas

Christmas Quiz
Where and when were these pictures taken?
1. Tbilisi in the USSR in 1984.
2. Looking over the Berlin Wall in 1987.
3. Branford in the USA in 1980.
4. Crich - I think in the Spring of 1989.
Congratulations to Christoph Heuer who got them all right.

    Hello Richard,

we wish yourself, your family and all the readers of this blog a Merry Christmas.

Thanks for the Christmas mystery pictures. We like mysteries. Here are our findings, in the order in which we found out:

Picture 3: Eberswalder Strasse terminus in Berlin, Germany, we believe in 1987.

Picture 4: Crich, outside what was then the Forge Shop in Autumn 1988 after closure of the Glasgow Garden Festival

Picture 2: Shore Line Trolley Museum at Branford, Connecticut, USA, start of the line at the Sprague Building, sometime between 1977 and 1979

Picture 1: That was then the Soviet Union but we are still working on details.

    Kind regards

    Kerstin and Christoph

    Richard,

following some research and some consultation on the Eurotrams e-group I have come to the conclusion that the first picture is Tblisi, Georgia, Gldani terminus of route 8. The car was built in 1981 or 1982, the condition appears to be reasonable, so I suggest 1985/1986 as the date.

What is the price for getting it right?

    Kind regards

    Christoph
