I saw several of the new trams on Thursday and rode on two of them. The first on the Altrincham line rocked and swayed quite badly on some of the outer sections. I don't know whether this was caused by the track or the tram or a combination of both. The second on the Bury line was a bit jerky when starting to brake and very noisy at speed.
A coupled set loooks like a small train in a former railway station but looks enormous on the city streets.
