MANCHESTER ON 29 AUGUST 2017 - Frank Bagshaw

Frank Bagshaw and Duncan McEwen spent the day in Manchester riding some Metrolink routes.
No, not a model tramway but a view of Deansgate/Castlefield stop from "Cloud23" (Cocktail bar) of the Hilton in the Beetham Tower. This is a wonderful place to have a drink and watch the trams and trains go by.

Here is tram 3080 passing the former Weaste tram depot of Salford Corporation tramways with some of the original track in the foreground.

Tram 3042 leaves Crumpsall Metrolink stop (Bury line) where a third platform is being added to create a terminus for trams from the new Trafford Park line - also under construction.

Tram 3057 Bury bound at Victoria

Tram 3112 passes the post box that survived the IRA bomb in Corporation Street
