Krakow - Friday (1)

Krakow has a considerable variety of trams.
Konstal 105Na type trams run in 1, 2 and 3 car sets.

There are lots of second hand Vienna trams, with and without trailers.
Modern low floor cars.
I didn't see many ex-Nuremburg cars (see comment).Posted by Picasa

  1. GT6 trams from Nuremberg are expected to disappear this year, replaced by newer constructions. In November 2009, the last GT6 with B4 trailers were withdrawn, and there are only 20 of solo GT6 in normal service today.

I would recommend you visiting the lines 2, 5 or 51 with N8S-NF trams from Nuremberg, too, and line 19 with GT8S from Dusseldorf (so far, two of them have appeared in service, and the next 10 are being prepared for their first rides).

If you will be lucky and stay in Cracow long enough, you should also manage to catch EU8N - ex-Vienna E6+C6 trams connected into a single-direction solo car with a low-floor module.

PS. The tram on the first photo is "Konstal 105Na", not "105Ns" :). There was no such model as 105Ns.
