Recent track relaying in the Hillsborough area has seen Blue line trams terminating at Shalesmoor  and Yellow line services running Meadowhall to Cathedral only.

Here tram 107 reverses at Shalesmoor starting its return journey to Halfway.

After a meeting at the museum, 102 was available for a ride. Unfortunately only on the lower deck as the top deck has developed a H&S issue which is awaiting remedy.

SHEFFIELD SUPERTRAM W/C 5 JUNE 2023 - Frank Bagshaw

Frank Bagshaw went to Sheffield this week in search of the recently re-liveried tram 120 which has lost its former SCT blue and cream colours. Unfortunately the line between Cathedral and Shalesmoor was closed due to a police incident. Here are two trams terminating at Cathedral. Frank eventually spotted 120 in the Nunnery depot sidings too far away to photograph.

LAUNCESTON TRAMWAY MUSEUM, TASMANIA - Ray Mudway

 Our museum in Tasmania has changed quite a bit since your visit in 2011 - the whole area is being redeveloped as the site for the Tasmanian University.  We now have tram No.1 (body restored & on a reconstructed Brill 21E bogie) & hope to get it running within a year as No.29 that you rode on is overdue for a full rebuild.  Planning on changing to battery power.

Frank Bagshaw was involved in the first test journey's of Newcastle 102 on May 5th.

The tram is seen here after arrival at Glory Mine.  The test runs were successful with more to follow before the car is released for service.

Blackpool 49 has been taken into the workshop so the brake gear can be compared with that of other Blackpool trams and help to resolve an issue. It is seen alongside long term resident “Bluebird”

 We have not had much snow here in Chorlton unlike scenes on the TV News of Buxton and stranded cars on the M62 in Greater Manchester. Crich has not opened today because of snow. I went out yesterday looking for Metrolink and snow picture on the Rochdale line. I went as far as Shaw.
