We had a very pleasant short visit to the island, our first break for almost 2 years. Douglas promenade is in a bit of a mess due to reburbishment works and relaying if te horse tramway. A nice painting of Aberdeen 49, one of the ex-Manchester Pilcher cars subject of a failed preservation plan back in the 1950's. Frank Bagshaw spent another day conducting at Crich this week, this time on LCC 106. Also in service was Blackpool 236 - it turned out to be a cold day. On view in the depot was Derby 1 ready for it's journey to Clay Cross, to make room for Blackpool 298. seen in the depot also was Glasgow 1282. finally a nice painting of Aberdeen 49, one of the ex-Manchester Pilcher cars subject of a failed preservation plan back in the 1950's.
