Oporto and Rock'n'Roll
Oporto 273 and LCC were the service cars today together with Blackpool 166 on a test run. Today's pictures show the interior and exterior of 273.
The Bradley family from Somercotes visited the Museum on Tuesday in their 1957 Chevrolet for publicity photographs. Their mission was sucessful - I have seen pictures in two local papers and now they are on the world wide web. The Rock'n'Roll weekend was on Sunday 30th April and Monday 1st May.

TMS Contact
The National Tramway Museum which trades as Crich Tramway Village is owned and operated by the Tramway Museum Society (TMS). At approximately monthly intervals a newsletter known as Contact is circulated to members. One of my objectives is to publish topical pictures to complement each issue.
I received my copy of Issue 348 today so here goes:
RETAIL & CATERING - picture below.
FRONT ENTRANCE - picture below.
OVERHEAD LINE - click here.
OUTSIDE WORKS - click here.
TRAMCARS Chesterfield 7 London Transport 1622 and London United 159.
The new entrance kiosk on 11th April. Doesn't it look big compared with the existing one on the left.
The new range of traditional sweets.

Doctor Who
Today a Dalek unexpectedly arrived at Crich and tried to capture the Tardis. Glynn Wilton tried to frighten it away with a camera and, driver John Shawcross and Inspector Keith Chadbourne were impressively unafraid.
Dr Who and a team of helpers then arrived, I think in a 4WD but perhaps in a GPO phone box.
The Doctor tried to reason with the Dalek but to no avail.
The Dalek then assembled a small team of reinforcements disguised as Glasgow 812 and 1297, threatening to exterminate...........
Then we all woke up.
