I managed to visit QMC area yesterday whilst the weather was reasonable. Shadow service in full swing with the sharp curve at the bottom of the ramp towards the City Centre causing a lot of wheel/rail noise.

NOTTINGHAM - Martin Miller

Nottingham remains an interesting place with the new shadow service in operation and there is a certain irony as the High Road Central College is opposite the former HQ of Barton Buses that supplied the vehicles for our school buses to Long Eaton. It can't be long before the whole system is open to passengers.

BEESTON AND CHILWELL ON 3 AUGUST 2015

Beeston bus station: car 209 is turning as a shortworking and waits on the crossover for an Alstholm car to leave for the city and Hucknall.

Tom Barton (founder of the famous bus company and opponent of trams) would turn in his grave at the sight of trams running past his former main bus garage in Chilwell.
