Tramathon - Wakebridge

A sequence of pictures showing how seven trams can pass each other at Wakebridge passing loop at the National Tramway Museum.
1. Chesterfield 7 at the head of 4 north bound cars and Berlin 3006 at the rear of 3 south bound cars.
2. 7 has now departed and all the other 6 trams can be seen with MET 331 at the head of the north bound cars.
3. 331 has now car leaving Leeds 180 in the foreground.
4. Glasgow 1297 was the last north bound car and Berlin 3006, Blackpool 167 and Glasgow 812 the south bound cars. Photographs taken somewhere in England.

Rollers

A busy day at the National Tramway Museum with 7 trams in use. Sheffield 74, Paisley 68 and Glasgow 812 and Berlin 3006 were in service. Glasgow 1297, Liverpool 869 and LCC 106 were out for various driver training duties. However today's pictures are of visiting Rlls Royces and Bentleys.

Paisley 68

A warm sunny day. Glasgow 812 and Paisley 68 were in service in the afternoon.

I have no idea as to this history of this car which visited the Museum on 2nd June.

Trams and pushchairs

Much better weather today with Glasgow 812 and MET 331 in service. However my day was spoilt by adverse comments from two groups of customers beacuse I asked them to fold their pushchairs before bring them onto the tram. Both groups claimed that I had ruined their day out and one young mother was very abusive at the top of her voice. Both groups then refused to acknowledge me when I collected the fares on the tram. It was very distressing. Frankly I don't volunteer to have to take this sort of verbal abuse. We need to make clear that vintage trams are not modern low floor buses and perhaps warn all customers with small children before they pay their admission fee.

Saturday

It is unusual for me to visit the National Tramway Museum on a Saturday. I did so this morning to attend a meeting.
1. An old entrance sign behind a new fence.
2. A group of trainee drivers and conductors receiving instruction on the access tram.
3. LCC 106 and Johannesburg 60 were in service.
4. The other side of 60.

Roger Webster

A warm and sunny day with Glasgow 22 and LCC 106 in service.

Irish Penny

Another showery day but warmer than earlier in the week. Leeds 345 and Blackpool 167 were in service.
1. Liverpool 869 and Leeds 399 parked on the depot fan in the morning.
2. London Transport 1622 had been for a test run before the service started.
3. Leeds 345 and Leeds 399 - again before the service started.
