Having seen reports that the quarry is to be closed at the end of July, I took a few pictures of it in action on Monday. But there was little to see from a distance. In these picures only two large lorries and
and a pick up truck indicate that the quarry was working.
Finally, this section of narrow gauge track is not part of the former quarry railway. It was used at Extravaganzas many moons ago.
What are the plans for the quarry after it's closure?
