| In the workshop the yellow support beam is positioned in the hornway and the leaf springs are resting on it. |

| Motors and axles. The axle boxes have a channel either side for the hornway and a circular area on the top for the springs to rest on. There are no wheel brake as service braking is rheostatic and the hand (parking) brake operates on the end of the armature. |
